Frank's Story
Funny story....my life in a nut shell.....majored in draft evasion when I got out of Lompoc High.....failed, ended up in the Army serving with A Company 75th RANGERS from 70 to 72.....when I got out of the Army I went back to school and surfed my brains out. In 76 I started dating Nikki Smith and we were together for 11 years...we shared the parenting of two sons, Zakery and Abraxus. During this time we both graduated from school and went to work in the aerospace industry (Shuttle Operations) here at VAFB. Sadly, in 87 Nik and I went our separate ways. I worked as a Subcontract Administrator building the Shuttle launch facility here on VAFB and shortly thereafter became the manager of Contracts and Procurement with Lockheed. Center in Florida to support Shuttle flight operations, seeing the hand writing on the wall I left Florida and returned to Lompoc to work as an independent consultant..
Managed the construction of a new blood purification facility at Celite and from there went back into aerospace as the Contract Administrator for MCA Engineers on VAFB. I was promoted to Deputy Program Manager and retired there in 2004. Since leaving aerospace I have become a golf junkie and play to a ten handicap, belong to to many clubs but enjoy it beyond compare.
In 2000 I remarried, Kim is the love of my life.....and I look forward to sharing the remainder with her and our son and 14 year old granddaughter....14 going on 30.
As you can see the 43 years have had it's ups and downs but all in all it has been a great ride and I look forward to the rest of the story.
