Yogi's Story
Life
Well- Since High School, my life has been ups and downs. One of my greatest ups is my daughter Jennifer. She is 33years old. I was in the hippie group where it was cool you know to make love not war so needless to say I never married at that time. I finally got married at 39 years old and divorced at 45 yrs old. I have since been living with my SO for the last 8 years with no desire to marry again. I have been in recovery and in a 12 step program for the last 171/2 years which has been another of my greatest "ups". I have found peace and serenity which is a miracle.
One of my greates "downs" has been the death of my friend Jim (Thumper) Carlston. I loved him dearly as a friend and it...Expand for more
has broken my heart that he had to leave us so young. Also, my first love Kenny Amato passed away this Nov 2001. I myself almost died in June of this year from an anyurism in my neck. I had to have 9 hours of surgery and have a cervical rib removed from my neck along with a bypass from the artery in my neck to the blood flow to my left arm. It is truly a miracle that I am alive today. We must remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed us, so please love each other. I would love to hear from any classmates. I am now working with two of our former Cleveland inmates. Curt Coffey and Mike Baden. They were not in our class, but it is still good to have memories with others. Take care and God Bless.
