Frankie's Story
Life
I worked in Washington, D.C. at American University's Washington College of Law while pursuing a Ph.D. in U.S. history. My dissertation is titled "Jim Crow Medicine: The Struggle to Desegregate Southern Hospitals, 1946-1970." I retired from AU in 2012.

chering-Plough for 20 years. At some point I became bored or just fell out of love with science. The time I spent as a TA in the history department were easily the best years of my life.
I visit Memphis every few years to see friends but I rarely see anyone from Central. It is hard to believe that 45 years have passed since high school! I have both good and bad memories of Central. Aren't everyone's?
