Fred's Story

Fred was born in Brooklyn and from Massapequa, New York. His schools include Massapequa High School, Long Island University (BS Degree, Engineering Management) and City University of Seattle (MS Project Management). He works(ed) at Grumman, Western Gear, B/E Aerospace, Inc, The Boeing Company and Paccar. While semi-retired Fred manages the management consulting company he founded in 2001 and teaches project management at universities in the Seattle area. He moved from Northport to Everett, Washington in 1974 to take a project management position at Western Gear Corp. We now has a home in Vail, Arizona and a summer cabin in the Cascade Mountain town of Skykomish, Washington. Fred's interests include Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Movies he likes are Top Gun, Forrest Gump, and Hunt for Red October. TV shows he likes include Frasier, Wings Downton Abby and Doc Martin.. One of Fred's favorite quotes is:"Insanity is doing the same foolish things over and over and expecting a better result.(Fred admits he has done this - more than once!) Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it".(Fred admits he has done this one too - more than once!) More about Fred:"I am a Presbyterian Eagle Scout who really enjoys life, but takes it far too seriously. It worked very well in my career, but not ion my relationships, It is time to lighten up and enjoy life even more.".

While I was back in Washington I had lunch with three guys I worked with and for at Western Gear Corp. in Everett, WA.  We have known eachother since the 70s.

I had a greeat visit from my Scouter and Wood Badge friend Rod Gowdy, his wife Renee and son Duncan.  We had dinner at the The Views here in Sun City Oro Valley.
