Fred's Story
Fred Blake Jr. died at 93 and I am his son who is interested in speaking to anyone in the Central class of 1940. He lived a great life. Married my mom after returning from two years fighting through Italy with the combat engineers. Married in the early 1950's and had two boys, Myself, Kent Blake of Germantown, TN (901) 569-6527 and my brother Scott Blake also of Memphis. Scott had no children but I am married with a son and daughter. ring which is what prompted to reach out to his former classmates for your memories from back in the day. Would love to hear from anyone. Would like to here your perspective of what your life was like in those days.
Dad had a 20 year career with Holiday Inns which included stints starting Holiday Inns in Mexico City in 1969 followed by a transfer to Belgium to do the same there in 1972. We were out of the country for four years. He was just a solid citizen whose handshake was a good as an ironclad contract. He was a lifelong Christian.
