Fred's Story
Life,
After graduating from West in 1968, attended UNC and was a member of the men's gymnastics team and participated in three College Division NCAA National Championships from 1971 to 1973. Graduated UNC in 1973.
I am retired from high school teaching and coaching after 31 years. I taught History and Social Studies at Thornton and Horizon High School in Adams 12 School District and coached championship teams in both boys and girl's gymnastics . .
I continued classroom teaching after retiring from coaching in 1996. The last 12 years before I retired from high school teaching I was also employed as an adjunct professor in Political Science at the University of Colorado Denver. I have BA and MA from UNC. I love to travel as I have been to Mexico and all over Europe a few times to Germany, Ireland, Austria...Expand for more
, France, UK, Italy, and around the Mediterranean. After my total retirement in 2004 I kept busy flipping houses until the market dried up in 2016. I was always handy at building and repairing. I am very fit and lead a healthy lifestyle and count my blessings everyday for that good health. I have two married daughters. I am a avid golfer, gardener, fly fisherman, reader, and love good jokes and conversation. I skied all my life and miss it very much due to some physical limitations that keep me off the slopes. Love being a grandfather to my grandchildren, living in the mountains part time at my second home and looking forward to future world travel and experiencing the good life the best way possible. My main home is now in Erie which is not far from my hometown of Greeley and I got remarried in 2017 to a wonderful gal.
