Fred Schmid:  

Fred is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He made the front page of the Grand Rapids Press (September 17, 1953) when he was born because he was born in front of St. Mary Hospital. His dad took too long to get a car to take my mom to the hospital. He lived on Liberty Street near Grandville Avenue and Hall Street. Then his family moved to Wyoming in 1967. In 1971 he join the USAF and spent most of his tour in Key West, Florida as a radio rapairman. While there he was involved with a Christian ministry to servicemen sponsored by Missions to Military, a non-profit organization. He is married to Karlene Moore Schmid from Ransomville, NY since 1983. We have no kids but a bunch of long haired Daschunds. "They keep us very busy." His schools include Hall Elementary, Burton Middle, and Kelloggsville High. He later received a Bachelor's degree from Columbia International University (CIU)(Bible and Christian Ed.) and a Master's degree from GVSU.
