Fred's Story
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with a concentration in Finance from Purdue University in 1973. During 1975, I graduated with a Master of Science in Management (i.e. MBA).
My career at AMP, Inc. began as an analyst. I held various positions of increased responsibility in operations and finally, as Manager of Strategic Planning.
On June 30, 1988 I left a fortune 200 company in order to launch Fischer Financial Services, Inc. The firm is an independent investment management company serving clients across the United States. The company specializes in investment management for institutions and individuals. The firm is a " Registered Investment Adviser" with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. We do not sell products or earn commissions, we are "fee-only". On numerous occasions Fischer Financial Services has earned national recognition for outstanding performance in the Large Cap Growth Universe.
On occasion I have personally served as an expert witness in arbitration proceedings for widows that have been wronged by stock brokers.

Over the years I have served on the Investment Committee of the Foundation of Enhancing Communities, and the Keystone Human Services Investment Committee. Currently, Board Member Emeritus of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have also served as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Silence of Mary Home since 2005.
Outside of work I continue to lift weights. I currently hold an international powerlifting association world record in the squat with the lift of 625 pounds in my age group 60 to 64, drug free category, 275 pound class. I recently moved up to the 65 to 69 age group. Hoping to improve upon my previous record.
At the IPA Strength Spectacular held in Erie, PA on 7/16/22, I lifted in the 70-74 age group and set an “All-Time” World Record for all weight classes with a squat of 615lbs. The record that was broken was set 15 years ago. My total of 1,465lbs. is second “All-Time” for all weight classes for age 70 and up,
I've been happily married for 46 years . I have one daughter and three grandchildren.
