Freddie's Story
I married Del Perry in 1967. We both spent our careers at China Lake and retired in 1998. We wanted to move somewhere green so we left Ridgecrest and moved to Portola, CA, a little town in the mountains about 50 miles from Reno, NV. We lived there for 10 years and loved every minute of it, but Portola gets a lot of snow and it began taking its toll so in 2008 we moved to Sparks, NV. er and traveled the country using Sparks as our home base. It was the best time of our lives.
Del passed away on May 11, 2014. We had been married 47 years, had two children, two grandchildren, and this year I was blessed with a great granddaughter.
Life has changed drastically for me and I'm still adjusting but life goes on. I learned to drive the motorhome and made three cross country trips on my own. I'm currently in the market for something a little smaller than the 41 footer. Maybe I'll see some of you down the road.
