Frederick's Story
Life
Currently a Master Sergeant in the USAF. Still stationed at McChord AFB, near Tacoma, WA. Brutal workload since 11 September 2001. Lost my older sister Dawn (those who knew her were aware of her lifelong illnesses) in June 2002 and my father Ted R. Love, HMC (SS), USN, Ret. 11 September 2002...two months later. Still struggling to serve the best that I am able. Many of you knew that I have a bad knee; injured in an accident in 1974 up on Wilbur and Alder...that knee has carried me through 23 years of my carreer and four years overseas...it is nearing the end of it's useful life. I hope to have a new and improved motigator installed before years end...(unsure of what a "motigator" is...look it up). Last Fall, I fell while at home and broke my back, so I am about healed from that...REAL LUCKY that I am walking...burst fracture of ...Expand for more
L5...Doc says I shouldn't fall down anymore...LOL. Skydiving lessons begin in the spring and I hope to get my turn in "the Sandbox"...(those of you with any Military under you belt will know what I mean)...last HOO RAH before I punch-out of the USAF...I will be fortunate enough to re-enlist for another hitch later this year. I hope to finish out my service sometime early in 2008...GOD FORBID I make another stripe...I can't stand the "Mental Giants" I am forced to deal with in our beloved Officer Corps...my opinion, but EVERYONE that is able should be mandated a three year tour in the Military...EVERYONE! Officers should be "grown" from within...not some 90-day wonder fresh out of college...experience counts not sheepskins. I'm ramblin'...I hope this finds all of you my classmates happy and healthy and living the life you deserve, Fred.
