Frederick's Story
I think one of the most nagative things I did was quit high school to help at home. As soon as I was old enough, I inlisted in the Marine Corps and finished my GED there. I felt it was a great loss for me not to maintain contact with some of my school mates. When I left the service, I moved to California. There I married the best friend I have ever had, I still do. While there, I took a state bar exam that gave me credit for two years of college and went to law school, using the G.I.bill. I only completed two years, and had to drop out because of a severe accident that broke both my wrists. As I was raising two children I had to leave my dream and take care of my responsibilities. 5 years as a trainer officer. At one time I had 3 commissions in differant counties training special response teams The last 5 years I spent at the state training academy enjoying my life. I retired in 2001 and have spent the last 7 years wrilting, reading, and enjoying my grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. They are the joy of my everyday. I tend to be a solitary person, but I think that comes with the years spent dealing with nagative people. I have also surprised myself that I have had such a fantastic adventure over the years. I know that the people who knew me back in high school felt I was a misfit. I hope I can find some of the people I grew up with as it brings back wonderful memories. I lived in Brooktondale and one of the girls, Carol Stevens married a distant relative. of mine. Well, have a safe one. Fredrick
