Frederick's Story
Life
Shortly after high school I joined the Navy. During ten years in the Navy I met my wife, Lucy, who was an exchange student from Livermore's sister city, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, C.A. we married in 1971, and over the next 20 years raised a family (one daughter, and one son). We recently celebrated our 35th anniversary.
Since 1978 we have lived in eastern Iowa and I will soon complete 28 years of employment at Eastern Iowa Light & Power Company, a small rural electric cooperative. I worked outside doing construction and maintena...Expand for more
nce work with a substation crew for 16 years before tiring or the work conditions, and moving to a mostly inside job.
In my time outside of the job I enjoy teaching Hunter Education. I am currently President of the Iowa Hunter Education Instructor Association. I also enjoy woodworking, helping with community service projects such as Habitat For Humanity, and outreach work through the church.
During my leisure time I enjoy reading, target shooting, motorcycling, and taking self improvement classes through the local junior college
