Fredrick's Story
My family left Illinois July of '66, landed in Seattle. On my second day in town met my companion, he's a great guy and if I let him live, it will be 41 years in September. Stumbled about my first few years of adulthood, found my way into hospice care with nursing degree and registered counselor. After about 5 years went into accute care psychiatry, locked unit. Along the way, we all also bought and sold many a home. Seattle led us to Long Beach, California, then came Dallas, Texas, Jacksonville, Florida, Tampa, Florida and have landed in Lexington Tennessee. , we had 3 and then 2 properties, sold just in time. Bought 7 acres and had a home built. The first year was like a bad remake of green acres. I'll leave it up to you to guess which one gets to be Eva.
Land is pretty, rolling hills and old trees. A town of about 10,000, part Mayberry, part hee-haw. I have considered teaching English as a second language! Most sentences here begin with "Git chu". I've gotten back to Chicago every few years, have yet to see a face I've known, like so many of the Franklin Grade School kids are roots were in Roseland, which is now tragic, but was filled with such great memories. Maybe, if I had the jutebox from Giovanni's I would know peace. Bye
