Jim's Story
Life
I was an executive search consultant to the electronics industry for 41 years. Retired in Feb 2002. After two years of full retirement I felt as though there was something missing. During a conversation with an old customer in Oregon I was invited to work for them part time as a consultant and accepted that offer. I work four mornings a week. It has been very satisfying. I divide my time between two locations: a home in Hillsboro, Oregon and a home in Northridge, CA - outside Los Angeles. I make a stop in the "Silicon Valley" often either on business or to see friends. Still traveling in my own airplane. It's been a good life. I sometimes miss Mt. Lebanon and think of my classmates often. My passions are flying airplanes and riding motorcycles.

nion in Oct 08. I think I had the best time. No that was not a Foster Brooks impression --- I had too much wine. It was a wonderful visit. I got there a few days ahead of time and stayed a few days afterward. Cruised a lot of old haunts. Loved every minute. Love that little town. Toured Washington, Mellon and the HS. Wow does time fly. Jogged the same track on which I ran over 55 years ago. Stumbled over the cross country course. Not much change.
Update - it is now 2011. Fully retired. Loving life. Flying my open cockpit, aerobatic, experimental biplane and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Still spending late spring, summer and early fall in Oregon and winters in Southern California. Google Jim Furlong, Plane and Pilot magazine for an article I wrote about a winter trip.
