Gail's Story
After high school, I graduated from Heald's Business College. Then I worked for USDA, Soil Conservation Service for awhile. Christmas of 1971 I decided to go back to see my family in Alabama and Georgia for a few months. About a month after returning to CH, I met Jesse Rosson (SJ 69). We married in 1973 and had two children who have blessed us with three beautiful granddaughters and one handsome grandson. Jesse retired from the fire service in 2002 and we started driving our truck and fifth wheel trailer around the country. We did go on a few cruises out of the US also. Jesse learned how to repair RVs and then taught classes on it in KY. We moved to Pahrump, NV (between Las Vegas and Death Valley) and Jesse started his own RV repair service. In January 2014, Jesse caught pnemonia and died. I still live in Pahrump, but I make trips to KY, OR and Sacramento to see my kids, grandkids and what is left of our family and friends several times per year. Jesse left me with a wonderful dog named Chance to keep me company, but he does...Expand for more
n't make the trips with me! He gets to hyper just going for a ride in town! He is a big boy of 97lbs and gets nervous about some noises, so I doubt he would fly very well. Something I always enjoyed in school was learning new crafts. While we lived in WA, I learned to quilt and that is the main thing I work on now. I was doing counted cross stitch before that. Jesse and I found a great church family down here and they have been a huge help to me since day he died. One of my most exciting things for this year has been reconnecting with some of my cousins I haven't seen or spoken to in at least 30 years. Even had one come visit Vegas and we spent the whole day together. I know this story doesn't say much about what I've done, but where Jesse went, I went and helped him with many different things we both lost our moms and I lost my dad. His dad is still in CH. I have had a few jobs since we married. I worked at the kids schools for awhile, worked at McDs for 8 years, Shari's Berries, Camping World and a camp ground we lived in.
