Gail's Story

After graduating from DePauw Univ. in 1965 (major in Zoology, minor in Botany and Secondary Education), I taught Biology for 2 years at Wheeling H.S. I then went to graduate school at Indiana Univ. for a period of time. I did not finish my master's. I worked for a couple of years at Evanston Hospital. I moved to Colorado in 1970 and worked at National Jewish Hospital until 1982 where I was co-coordinator of the Pulmonary Physiology Unit. built our home in the mountains outside of Denver. For the past 12 years I've worked for a family practice in Conifer, CO-just retired the end of May 2009. David and I met in the fall of 1973 and were married July 4th 1976. I have a step-daughter and two grown grandsons who live in Texas as well as a Great grandson, Caleb.. My brother Rick passed away in 2006 from stage 4 cancer. He had never married. My sister Ann lives in the mountains outside of Colorado Springs and is single. My photo is of us on the Danube in Budapest when we celebrated the 40th anniversary of our first date.
