Getting to be like curdled milk these days. Getting old, sour and chunky.😁 Still the mother of 3 sort of adult children (2 girls 1 boy). Now Grandmom to 3 grandkids (2 boys, 1 girl). Retired last year after 27 years at NIM. Remarried in 2004 to the love of my life, Steve Balongue. He was a retired race car driver. Is that a hoot or what? Widowed in 2012. Had the best 8-1/2 years with him. People thought we'd been together at least 30. I started getting into racing (mostly NHRA; have friends who build and race stock, sprint, GAM, motorcycles ) thanks to hubby. Tell people he turned me into a "nitro junkie", and they, in horror, reply, "The heart medicine???" Hilarious! Make yearly pilgrimage to Denver for the Mile High Nationals. Over the years, have become good acquaintances with track personnel and some of the racers. Good people. I currently have 2 cats, have fostered strays, abandoned litters, and domesticated a couple ferals so they could find homes. This has been successful with the help of Denver Dumb Friends League. With their help, homes were found for close to 20 kittens and about 10 stray/abandoned adult cats. God bless DDFL for their help. They are a no-kill shelter, by the way. Planning on moving (hopefully by Fall) to MS near my younger daughter. Still loving the beach, so will be a good move. The beach shot is near to where I'll be moving.
