Gail's Story
Well, finally found where I can write this. I find Classmates hard to navigate and slowwwww. Jen (daughter) lives outside Louisville, KY. Don't ask!! Linda still lives in Seattle. I hate heat! Have lived in Portland & Bend, OR; Paonia & Boulder, CO; South Lake Tahoe, Nevada City, Palm Desert, Borrego Springs, Laguna and San Diego. Moving Queen of the Year you mite say but great places to live and deep memorable memories.
Careers, Legal Secretary; D & A and Family Counselor in Outpatient firms and private practice, very satisfying, made a difference in more than one life, what more can a person ask; made coats, jackets, antique lamps/shades sold in Aspen and Harvest Festival in CA; Home Health Professional, retired thank God!
Two summers ago I drove and slept in my Acura MDX to Louisville, back to Boulder, CO and up to Seattle, then back dwn the coast to San Diego. I parked in Hospital parking lots at nite!
After returning I found that I had CLL (Chronic Lymphoma Leukemia) Stage 4. Had gone...Expand for more
from Stage 0 to 4 in 3 mos. Should have taken 30 yrs! Finally gave in to Chemo therapy for 6 mos. ending last March. Things significantly improved and am now in a wait and watch period.
Need to move but have conflicting "wants" as to where. I most want to return to Boulder but neither of my girls live there and good cancer treatment is in Louisville, not sure about Denver clinics. Love Seattle too, first husband of nearly 10 yrs, Jim Hogan the professor, was from there. He is now in an Alzheimer's unit. Second husband, John, died in 2006. I am very active and love to travel. My sister, Lorna, lives in Tiger, GA (a ways outside Atlanta). We are all that is left as all parent and Aunts and Uncles are passed away.
Will spend Xmas with Jen in KY and friends in Louisville. Would love to see so many of you again hopefully before next year's reunion. Send me an e-mail anytime to update what has been going on in your life. Hope you are all well and happy. I Wish You Enough, Gail Curtiss Hogan
