Gail's Story
Life
i was happily married for most of
12 yrs. now i'm happily single for
almost as long. i have 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids. i love being a grandmother. it's a gas.
except for family and a few friends, i'm pretty much of a hermit. i love my kids, grandkids, animals and plants. i
worked in electronics for 20 yrs.
and i must say that except for the
friends i made and the good money,
i don't miss the business at all. it was high pressure and boring and cutthroat to boot. i wonder
how things will turn out when the
industry sorts itself out again.
and here is an interesting asside,
my friend was visiting on the st.
where i grew up the other day. she
tells me that my old house is up for sale. my par...Expand for more
ents paid $15K for
it and the present owners are ask-
ing $395K. my parents sold it for
$28K and thought they were really
making out like bandits. isn't life interesting? i'm so glad i
don't live in that artificial atmosphere anymore. unfortunately
much of the values and inflation
have been imported to the central
valley...along with the bay area's
smog. but it was a great place to
grow up and be alive in the 60's and 70's. what fun. it's good to
look back with few regrets.
nothing exciting to add except that i just turned 55 and i'm the happiest i've ever been. now if i could just lose 30 lbs. i'd be all set. oh well. hope whoever reads this is as happy as i am. God bless all who read this. gail
