Gail's Story
March, 2010. Time for an update. Still living in the Dallas area, still married (30 years!), and trying to stay busy. Oldest kiddo graduates in May with Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Texas A&M. Half-way to obtaining his CPA certification and has a job lined up. Yay! Can't wait til he has his own place, and we can go visit HIM and eat HIS food and mess up HIS house. Revenge is sweet. Middle child on full scholarship about to wrap up sophomore year at A&M. He's in the Corps and in the Band. Wants a military career and will take a commission with the Army when he graduates. Very proud of him, but the mom in me is not too happy with his vocational choice...still, I support him. Youngest ...Expand for more
will be a high school senior in the fall. I'm having too much fun with her high school years to want them to end. She also wants to go to A&M (what can I say?), but is looking at some out-of-state schools, too. I quit teaching to help my elderly parents. They needed me more than my students did, and I'm happy to help them tho' my husband grumbles about the lost income. Can't say I blame him with two in college and one about to start. When not schlepping my parents to doctor appointments, I do a lot of volunteering at the high school. Daughter runs the other way when she sees me in the halls, but I love being around the kids. I miss my students, so this is the substitute. Cheers to you all...
