Gail's Story
Aloha!
After graduating from Rip, I attended Grace New Haven School of Nursing but never finished due to illness. Attended Norwalk Community College for a while (wasn't for me) and went to work for Fidelity Trust Company. Moved to California in 1975, worked for World Savings and Loan and lived in San Francisco, Santa Clara and Santa Monica.
Met and married a great guy from Hawaii and we have been happily married for over 33 years.
We have 2 natural children, a son age 28 and a daughter 22 and 1 foster son, age 30.
We have been blessed with several "adopted/fosters" (see LARGE pix) throughout our lives (who have lived with us while having family problems) and they stop by (usually at dinner...Expand for more
time) to visit for a while! Our eldest "hanai" (Hawaiian meaning "child given and adopted with love") daughter made us grandparents again last year and we LOVE playing "spoil the babies"!!! Rounding out our family are assorted pets including 3 dogs and a peacock.
We live in a very rural part of the state of Hawaii, on the "westside" of the island of O'ahu. I am the editor for a local community newspaper, involved in local politics, and stay busy with volunteer work. Hubby is retired from Pitney Bowes (yes-we have it here in Hawaii) after 38 years and we are busy with the "30 year remodel" of our home :-).
