Gail's Story
In 1968 moved to Houston, TX and have been here since. Married a great guy from Arkansas, have 2 sons, 3 granddaughters. Recently lost my husband after a prolonged illness. I established my own Christian greeting card and gift poetry business in 1985. Had to stop working in 2000 to care for my husband. Recently set up a facebook page, still trying to get the hang of it!
I always wanted to write poetry & music when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an OK idea. As it turns out, they were right. I have friends who have their own Gospel group and they've used a couple of my songs on their CD's. They are growing in popularity and can be heard on...Expand for more
radio stations nationwide. They are The Harris Family.
Music is my refuge. I played piano for 24 yrs at my church. I learned to play by ear from my Dad, as well as with music lessons. Playing is theraputic. I also like listening to all kind of music. My tastes are very eclectic, rock, gospel, jazz, oldies, etc.
Growing up in Boston, I became a sports fan at an early age, of course rooting for the Red Sox and Celtics, as well as the Patriots. I still root for my old home teams, but am more inclined to watch college sports these days. It's more enjoyable for me. Being in an all male household for almost 40 yrs., it was a good thing I am a sports enthusiast!
