Gail's Story

I got married in 1960 and had my daughter Jamie Suzanne Maxwell Feb.3,1961. Dave and I got a divorce. I remarried Jimmy Mitchell from Glenbrook August 31st. 1966,we moved to Florida Oct. 3rd,1967 after we had our son. We had three children together and of course my Jamie. I'm now 68 yrs.,my kids are Jamie 48,Jimmy 42, Jill 38 and Jeff 37.We've been over here in Orlando for 41 yrs. from Daytona. I'm happy to say Jimmy and I will celebrate our 43rd. anniversary tomorrow.Since I first wrote this our anniversary is gone. looking forward to the holidays and Jimmy's 72 birthday!! One of my son's jimmy lives in missouri, Jill lives in S.C.--Jamie and Jeff both live within 2 miles of us. We lost our first born grandson Justin April 7th,2002. He was 20 yrs. old and got killed. He was the light of my world. His sister Ashley's birthday is the same day as his jan. 26th, so Ash will turn 23,Justin would have been 28. Ash is terrific. She took me to universal studio's to see Frankie Valli in concert and we had a fantastic time. I also have a granddaughter Tia, she will be 18 in April and a grandson Ryder 7 yrs. but sadly I don't get to see them. My sister Pammie lives about a half hour from me,so i'm thrilled she is down here also. She lost her husband Phil Lopiano it was 2 yrs. ago this past april. Jim works on computer's. I love to take care of the birds etc. outside and my pond. Most of the time during these months it is so hot and humid I don't even like to go outdoors,so I spend alot of time on the computer, reading, cleaning and enjoying Jim's company. The pictures Jim put in were ...Expand for more
taken last christmas at Pammie's house and the first one Ash took when we went to see Frankie valli this year. My life is simple, peaceful(most of the time lol)and always fun. We have 2 dogs and a cat, our other cat died this year. I often wonder where the people are that I did know. I do see alot of them have moved to Florida. I think Jim and I were one of the first to hit the road out of Stamford.Although I remember Cathy Madalonni moved to california, she was a hair dresser. June Perito moved to Los Vegas. I know Deanna Correa past away down here. She and I had become close again,we both were from North st. I was glad we had a chance to pick up where we left off, before she past on. There are people I'd love to know how they are doing. I went to Burdick Jr. high, then when it burned down we all went to Stamford h.s. I haven't been back to Stamford since my mom past away 33 yrs. ago..There are just so many friends from the past that I'd love to know how they are. When I was on the last time I think 2005, Nan Johnson and I caught up with each other...Boy we had some fun times dancing at the Country House lol. Well as I said I truly lived all over lol. I lived on North St. for a long time, then we moved to Conn. Ave.,but I always stayed close to the East side of Town as my grandmmother lived on waldwell St. for many yrs.,so I spent alot of time at Tony's drive-in,West beach. We all grew up in a great era of time for sure. Hope everyone that reads this is happy, healthy, and has good memories of Stamford. I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a very happy 2010... Gail
