Gail's Story
After graduating for Richland HS I attend Slippery Rock State College. I met a great guy, we eloped and moved to Butler, PA 35 years ago.
We have two wonderful sons - 33 and 27; and a beautiful grandson. We have moved from Butler to California, back to Butler, to Chicago and back to Butler. We have lived here for 21 years now and I will die in this house - unless I win the lottery and at that time I will move anywhere.
When we settled back in Butler I went back to school and received a degree in education from Slippery Rock University. When I am not at work I volunteer in the community. I hold membership in Soroptimist International of Butler County (a community service organization for professional women) and General Federation of Women's Clubs (a community service organization). My true joy comes from volunteering for the Maridon Museum. It is a collection all should see.
I have started to get me feet wet in local politics and find the behind the scenes work very interesting. I will probably never run for office but I do like the world of politics.
My husband and I are enjoying our life together, we have wonderful friends; we enjoy making wine (as well as drinking it). The balance in my life is not perfect but it is good and I have no regrets.
