Gail's Story
Hi everyone. It's Gail. I'm in Yorktown, VA with my two kids, Heather (20) and John Ryan (16). I have an amazing fiance/significant other named Ross who treats me like a queen. :o) Heather graduated in '07, attended massage therapy school and now is a shift manager at Wendy's, an assistant manager at DQ and massages on the weekends. John Ryan is a Sophomore and would rather play on Xbox 360 than eat, well, maybe not eat. Ross is a nurse, drives a motorcycle and sails. We do these together and love every minute of it. We have the best dog in the world, his name is Dallas. He is a 12 y.o. black cocker spaniel. UPDATE: God took Dallas back in early June. :o( Our cat, Haley, is the princess. She is a petite 12 pounds and wakes me up by laying on my chest and purring me awake.
I'm still working for the Department of Veterans Affairs (20+ years), so is Ross. I am a program analyst working with clinics. Basically, I organize things so that our nation's heroes can get in to see their provider when it is convenient for them. Plus, I do A LOT of paperwork. UPDATE: I got a new job: Privacy Officer. I'm responsible for the privacy of our employees and veterans personal information. Whew! I'm back at school at Saint Leo University on Langley Air Force Base. One course every 8 weeks - I'll have my bachelors in January 2011! Then it is on to my masters.

arly November for my Aunt Rosanna's passing. Ross and I have confirmed that we want to move back when we retire. I figure that I can apply for the CEO job at the Mason District Hospital. That's what I'm getting my degrees in - Business Administration, Health Specialty. I'd love to give back to the town I grew up in.
I get the Democrat every week (1 week late) so I try to stay in touch with the goings on in Havana. I am planning on making the reunion in 2010 - hopefully it is still the last weekend in August - right?

My favorite way to relax is to either jump on the back of the motorcycle or go sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
I love to play racquetball. Ross and I beat the bounce out of that little ball until our frustrations are gone!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a back porch. My dream home would be green and environmentally efficient.
Things I learned from my kids. Dogs don't move when you smear peanut butter on the top of their mouth.
Sorority Life: I joined Sigma Sigma Sigma at SIU in 1985. I am still a dues paying member and a "remote" sister through St. Leo University in Florida.
A memory that I will never forget: Lori Koke and I spent the week at my house while my Mom was in Kentucky. We were two young women out on our own...kinda.
