Gail's Story
Life
I'm living in the mountains in SE Arizona. We (my husband, Pat Spain, and I) have mountain and lake views and access to a pristine little fishing lake within half a mile. For this we had to give up "the grid." We make our own electricity with solar panels and a back up propane generator. At our 5600' elevation we get a little snow (generally gone by mid afternoon) and enjoy cooler temperatures than the Phoenix and Tucson folks. We don't have air conditioning.
Our half acre bounds the Coronado National Forest and we have frequent wild sightings ... deer, havalena, quail, etc. and, infrequently, mountain lions and bears (oh my).

nnison in Schererville, IN until my husband retired in 1996. Now I volunteer once a week at the thrift shop on Ft. Huachuca (wha chu ka) and keep the books for the tiny water company that services our mostly weekend community. I still like to garden, but it is a challenge in this climate and altitude.
My girls live in the midwest (two grandchildren. They both have had a lifetime interest in horses and riding. They still enjoy riding and owning the "hay burners."
We like to travel and have visited several countries. Pat is an avid fisherman and we try to include at least a little time on the water wherever we go.
I still have over 2000 characters, but that is about it.
