Gale's Story
Gale is from Cambridge, Massachusetts and attended the University of Miami (Marine Science and Biology) and Occidental College (Pre-med, Marine Biology). Upon graduating, she went on to assist the Director of the Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco where she swam with and monitored shark behavior in the roundabout circular fish tank. When not swimming with sharks, she taught marine biology at the California Academy of Sciences where her class on the mechanics and operation of the remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV), Deep Sea Rover, used in underwater exploration, was awarded as a favorite among the students.
She went on to open a successful restaurant specializing in Mediterranean food in the Marina District of San Francisco. When...Expand for more
the restaurant sold, she was asked to assist the president of Lucasfilm Ltd. (George Lucas's privately held film company which is now a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company) in the legal and business affairs office.
She is currently involved in producing a film based on her husband's book and enjoys ranch life in the Tobacco Root Mountains of Montana.
One of Gale's favorite quotes is:"Man's cleverness is almost indefinite, and stretches like an elastic band, but human nature is like an iron ring. You can go round and round it, you can polish it highly, you can even flatten it a little on one side, whereby you will make it bulge out the other, but you will NEVER, while the world endures and man is man, increase its total circumference."
