Gale's Story
Life
After graduating from Rubidoux I attended California Baptist University, majoring in English and participating in drama. I married Merle Wiseman during winter break of 1972. I worked as a secretary for Dunham Bush manufacturing and then the Southern Baptist Associational Missions office before starting our family in 1978.
I am now the proud grandmother of Kailani Marley Wiseman and Dawson Ryan Wheelington. I am still the blessed wife of Merle Wiseman and mother of Jonathan and his wife Davina, Branton, and Michelle and her husband Ryan.
I taught in Christian elementary schools for 11 years in Riverside, California and 4 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I took this year off to enjoy being a grandma, travel with my husband, and promote my published book (available at on-line bookstores).
I have published a children's book called How ...Expand for more
Mr. Branch Got A New Name.
The book offers an inspirational answer to why God allows difficulties in our lives and how we should respond to them. My son Branton Wiseman provided the conceptual illustrations for this book.
My husband is a family physician, and we presently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but plan to move to South Arkansas this year. Jonathan is a tile setter in Riverside, California. Branton is a State Farm agent in Georgia, and Michelle is an RN in Arkansas. We had a joyful family celebration when everyone met here for the week after Christmas.
I have a huge collection of children's books and find that most speak to adults as well as children. I enjoy using them to teach spiritual truths. I also enjoy reading Christian novels, writing, acting, watching live theater, riding carousels, and flying a kite at the beach.
