Gale's Story
College
After graduating from BHS, I attended Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. My major was `Asian History.' I then went back to New York to take an MA in `Education' at Hofstra U. I picked up another MA in `International Trade Law & Regulations' from Antioch School of Law(D.C.), and went on to pick up another MA from U.D.C.(D.C.) in `International Adult Education.' Lastly, I received a Ph.D. in `Human Development in Adult Learning' (International )from Virginia Tech. My research was centered in India, so five trips were required to complete the data collection.
Workplace
I was employed by HHS/ Department of Mental Health in Washington, D.C., as an Education & Training Specialist. I have held various job descriptions; however, I worked (for the most part) with co-occurring diagnoses, which is more clinical (an...Expand for more

I have worked for the Federal/DC gov't in D.C. for over 30 years; however, I have also worked and lived in NY, NJ, Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, and California. Since retiring from the feds in 2008, I am working as an educational consultant, and have worked on projects nation-wide and internationally. Additionally, I am an Adjunct Professor of English at the University of the District of Columbia, DC. Published: (numerous articles on mental health/education/human interest issues); Book: 'The Status, Survival, and Dilemma of a Female Dalit Cobbler of India.' 2009.
Travel: I have travelled the world extensively; however, my passion is human rights issues in Developing Nations. I have been to India 21 times, and numerous other third/fourth world societies for research purposes.
