Hmmm, my life in a nutshell. I left Goleta in 1970 during a disasterous marriage and moved to Illinois where I divorced one husband and found and married my current spouse who was then teaching at the local High School. We had three children, a daughter and twin sons, and while raising my family, I furtherd my education while working nearly full time. In 1983 we moved to Coos Bay, Oregon, where I am in my 23rd year as an OB RN at Bay Area Hospital, doing all facets of obstetrical and neonatal care, including high risk transport. I love my work, but I am so looking forward to retirement! At present, all three of my kids are in Portland, all college educated and independen...Expand for more
t, but none have favored me with grandchildren.....yet. But there is still hope.
I have enjoyed getting in touch with a few from our class, have reconnected with Jean Hughes, Virginia (Graeser), George Villa, and Pam (Foster). I have remained good friends with Monica (Wright) throughout the years, and had the pleasure of seeing her a few weeks ago when I visited Santa Barbara.
I recently joined the DPHS website, but I guess I am going to have to break down and join this one too. If there ever is a 40th class reunion this year, I am planning to attend. I would love to hear from anyone who wishes to correspond. I'm at my first and last name, no caps, at hot mail---you know the rest.
