Garner's Story
Life
After high school I worked at GE in Erie for eight years. During that time I went to night school for electricity and became a maintentance electrician. In July of 1973 I got married and had a boy and girl. In September of 1978 we moved to The Dallas/Fort Worth area and lived until November 1996. While in Texas I ran a few marathons. My best finish was 7th place overall out of 1000 runners at the Cowtown Marathon in 1985. I was also president of a local running club and organized local road races. ing on electrical equipment. In November of 1996 my family and I moved to the Chicago area where we lived for a year. I transfered there while working at a nuclear power plant. In late 1997 my wife and I moved back to Erie because work was slow. While working at GE I found out about an opening at the Square D Co. I took the job and moved to New Hampshire to service the Boston area in March of 2000. After living there for a year my wife and I moved to Syracuse, NY where we currently live. I am a Senior Field Service Rep. and my wife is an LPN. We visit our grand kids as often as possible.
