Gary's Story

I have lived in East Tennessee since I came down for college in '68. I married a local girl in '72, so became a full time Tennessee resident. I have lived in the same house 31 years. I have been a salesman, a restaurant manager, but my heart is in my current position with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, working with foster parents who help children who have been abused and ...Expand for more
neglected, though I have just retired. My favorite ways to relax are read, work in the yard, and be with family. I remember several high school teachers fondly. I admired Ms.Barbee, who I had for English, very much. She was challenging, yet she was humorous and approachable. Mr. Stone who taught me Algebra II was very energetic and dynamic. I actually forgave him for going to Osborne.
