Developed and presented to the City Planning Commission and City Council Annual Long Range Capital Improvements Budget from 1966 to 1989; Wrote a Long Range Economic Plan for Huntington in 1970s to include Riverport/Intermodal Transportation Project and Regional Jet Port; Proposed the establishment of a Wall of Fame at the Civic Center, and changing 2nd Ave. to a Veterans Memorial Blvd; Recommended to Gordon Merry to develop plans for new Ambulance Stations throughout Cabell County. I recently served 2 terms on the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District and had the opportunity to see the completion of my earlier vision of the establishment of the Altizer and Harveytown Parks and the Walking Trail extended.".
