Gary's Story
After Jr. yr. there were some things that I needed to break away from and I thought the Army was what I needed. So off to Germany for awhile. A beautiful country and gracious people. Got lots of really good memories. After the army, I dated and married a girl from Merrillville (I guess that she figured that was as close to being Calumet material as possible). I married Dennis Finnerty's neice. Dennis and Gary Grant hung together all the time. Norma and I have been together since '65'. eal citizens do. Well except for the '70's, the best 3yrs I ever spent, I think. Since then, the kids have ventured forward and we had the locks changed. Gotta love Samsonite.
We have had our ups and downs through the years but have managed to keep the crap real. I doubt that many thought I was good husband material but Norma has managed to get to be quite the cook, and that can make for some serious negotiating. Damn those cheap shots.
Drugs, loud rock-n-Roll music, and radical flashbacks to the 70s are a great way to relieve stress. Usually stress is handled like a dog. If it can't be smelled or eaten then p*** on it I'm out of here. Has anyone ever seen a dog go to a shrink? They got it together.
