Gary's Story
Carol and I presently live in Grand Rapids. Our Daughter Rachel lives nearby,
Rachel has been with Rockford Public Schools as a special needs teacher
for 20 years. Rachel graduated from Michigan State while her husband Brian
is a Calvin College graduate, they have two children’, Carson 11 and Maddy
Prior to moving to GR , we lived in Traverse City for nearly 10 years. I coached for

Benzie Central, I kept active by volunteering at Munson Hospital and the Denis Museum:. Carol worked in several
downtown retail businesses. While in TC we were active with my old Riverview graduates Lee and Agnes Niemi. Lee and I played golf several times a week and
could always be found at football and basketball games.
Sadly, I have lost two of my very best friends, Lee and one of the true characters of our class... Bobby Nusser.
