Gary's Story

Life I went to Staunton Military Academy (SMA) in Staunton VA for a year in '70. Then I joined the US Army in '71 and stayed there for 26 years retirering in '97 with the rank of First Sergeant of Engineers/Infantry. I am a vetern of the Veitnam war era, the Cold War, the Gulf War and the defence of the Republic of Korea. I got out for 3 years to go to college at DCCC in '77 and recieved an AS degree.but belonged to the NGs in WestChester. While there I served with Aco 2/111 Inf, PAARNG in WestChesater. I was stationed in the states of MO and KS. Overseas stations were Germany(2)tours with A Co 78th Engr and A Co 16th Engr ,Korea 2 years with Aco 44th Engr. and the Gulf War with Co 299th Engr. ly are there. I've been in KS since '94 and most likey will stay. We moved from Wichita, KS in '62, to West Chester. KS and MO are our ancestral homes (so is SE PA), my kids are in MO, and the hunting is great in both states. I have two degrees, an AS from DCCC and a BA in History from Columbia, in Columbia, MO. I spend my time hunting, camping, hiking, reinacting 18th century frontier, doing living history, shooting, making antique firearms and clothing of the 18th century. I also like history, genealogy, belonging to the Sons of the American Revolution of which I am president of the Konza Pararie chapter in Manhattan,member of the VFW and fishing. I'm divoced, twice, my children, their children and their spouses are number one in my life. Write if you wish I always reply. I now have two grand childern, both boys from my daughter and currently single.
