Gary's Story
Life
Hi classmates. It has been many years since we have been in school sharing class time together. I have spent most of my working time back at the round school, as we call it today. Seventh and eighth grades are housed in the building and have been since 1970-71 school year. I am presently retired from teaching 8th grade Social Studies.
During my tenure at Mt. Morris as a teacher I taught at the high school, as well as, the junior high. I also coached at least one sport each year for 34 years. Those sports include football, wrestling, track, and cross country mostly at the varsity level. My wife works at Bronners in Frankenmuth. She enjoys the holiday spirit and working in the penning area directly with customers.
I have been married to Jennie Bigelow for 41 years this past June. We have three children. The two girls who are married and have given us three Grand daughters. They are 20, 7, and 5 years of age. Our son is not married yet. He is self-employed in the...Expand for more
landscape business. If you need some ideas, just let us know and we can help. We like to do water features.
I did not serve in the military as I was in college and started teaching immediately after graduation. I graduated from Central Michigan in 1969 and from Saginaw Valley in 1987.
I finally graduated from the 8th grade in the spring of 2008, joining the ranks of the retired.
I have remained active in the Baptist Church ever since high school. I started singing in the choir a couple of years ago. I do not always hit the correct notes, but I do make a joyful noise. My favorite group is the Booth Brothers.
I would enjoy hearing from the class of 1965 or any former student who would like to share a story of when our paths crossed. Those stories would bring joy to my heart and I hope they bring joy to yours.
One last thing for today, if you think of someone you have not seen in a while and know where they are located send them a note to let them know you thought of them.
