Gary's Story
Life
I have been married to Lynn Barcus (class of 1970) since 1971. We have two children, Kelly 32 and Kyle 24. Kelly at 34 has given us three grandsons, Joel 12, Cole 9, and Xander 5. Kelly and her husband live in Indiana and Kyle is still at home building his empire.
Our son Kyle has his own company. He has been on computers since he was three and now designs and builds dynamic websites. He recently started hosting the sites on a server farm he has built. We call Kyle our 401k plan. Kyle graduated early at age 16. Lynn and I are proud of both of our children.
We moved to a city just 18 miles south of Birmingham, Alabama. We moved our company and bought a 4,000 sq ft home on a half acre wooded lot in a golf course community. Life here in the South is polite and real. We feel like we are back in America since leaving California.

dents shared drinks with the Speaker of the House, eaten BBQ'd ribs with Governors and still have many friends in elected office. It was worth walking away from it all for the Southern comfort of Alabama. I still have many political friends and now get active over issues and not candidates. We work for the conservative issues and I am a strong constitutionalist in my beliefs.
For those who remember me from high school, I now drive a 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 Corvette. Number 1726 of 2025 built. Just recently, we drove 3 laps on the Talladega Speedway. The ultimate thrill ride going down the straightaway and driving into the 30º, 5 story high-banked turns. Lynn was at my side as she has been for 38 years.
High school seems like a foggy memory. Some of us found happiness and others are still searching. In that search, I can be found on the Internet easily. Since one of my companies registers domain names I can be found at my first and last name dot com.
