Gary's Story
I was born a poor sharecropper's son from the south of Belton.....no wait, that's another story. After graduation I stayed around Belton for a few years before starting college. Graduated with a degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and started my Architect's career in Dubuque, Ia where I met my first wife. Had three of the best boys in the world who are now 27, 25 and 19. Divorced there mom and met the best woman in the world and married her 5 years later. licensed Architect in the state of iowa with the last 23 of them served at the University of Iowa Designing and Managing projects from $5k to $50 million. Retirement in June 2010 is not close enough. Don't know what I'll do then. No Grandkids yet to spoil but expecting some soon? I've been in Iowa since 1973 and have no reason to leave. It's a great state, a great place to raise kids and a fantastic place to live. Planned on attending the 40th reunion only was sidelined by a quad by-pass two days before the reunion. Doing great now and with retirement right around the corner am looking forward to some time off.
