Gary's Story

Blessed with the opportunity to Fly for the US Navy, completing 28 years of Service, retiring at the rank of Captain - an amazing adventure that took me around the world, last count I lived or traveled in some 60+ countries. Also blessed with good friends, good kids, grand kids, now great grand kids. After retiring from the Navy, continued my Defense work as the Naval Aviation Business Development lead at Lockheed Martin. I retired from Lockheed in December, of 2016. Not to get bored, enjoying one of my hobbies, real estate investing selling, buying, I am a licensed Broker. The golf game needs work; tennis is coming along with the new USTA National Training Center 1 mile from my house. Granddaughter graduated as an RN and lives in Oklahoma, also a Grandson in school following his time with the US Marine Corps., another Grandson ...Expand for more
in the US Army, and youngest Granddaughter heading off to college shortly in South Carolina. Daughter is a Doctor (Optometry) still in Southern Maryland. Hope all is well with my various school communities and classmates - fair winds and following seas. Vacations this year included Quebec City, Canada (Beautiful City), Lake Douglas in the Great Smokies (Tennessee) and heading up to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park-Maine in September, next year Ecuador and side trip to Chile. Also heading down to Cartegena Colombia in December, big birthday party. Other recent vacations include Peru, Chile, Colombia, and in the great North America, Alaska and BC Canada. Been getting up to North Carolina and Tennessee a couple of times each summer, beautiful country as well. Met a bear outside the condo but scared him more than me, I think.
