Gary's Story
Keeping it extremely brief... I attained a degree in mechanical rendering (non cad), then worked for a few of the majors..I.B.M, Memorex, etc., but fell into the furnishings industry via a friend by 1978.
Starting with over a decade at "Breuners" and retiring 40 years later from the home interior business this year.
In between my hobbies of Art & Music provided a few highlights.
I sat in with Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes (Teddy Pendergrass fame), 3 members of Tower of Power,.. and some great local groups on percussion.
..............(Circa 1972 - 82)...........
As a Bay Area Guy, like so many, I saw everybody...Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, to a front row at Altamont and the Rolling Stone debacle.
I left Cali in 95, bought a house and some acreage 8500 f...Expand for more
t up in The Rocky Mountains, then returned to the San Diego area, purchasing a home in Temecula in 2000.
Like many I had a couple marriages, parental ups and downs ( lost my stepboy to cancer) and endured enough drama to last 3 lifetimes....Today I walk the earth a Free Man...or at the very least I can sleep in. :)
Plans? Thinking about heading to Lake Norman, North Carolina. Buy a nice place, do my Art (shown in my profile), play my guitars, and get a new pup...(lost my sweet Aussie). And if the fates allow ....travel to Costa Rica twice a year and hangout at Jaco Beach with a buddy of mine who's got a joint down there
.
... Jimmy Buffett style. 😎
Time will tell.
