Fully retired since Dec 2013. Former Chief of Staff, Flight Operations, The Boeing Company, supporting enterprise flight operations (Commercial Transport, Military Transport, Military Tactical, and Rotorcraft) nationwide, with principal locations including Puget Sound, Long Beach, Mesa, St. Louis, and Philadelphia, as well as several other, smaller locations. I provided support to new aircraft development test programs, aircraft production test flights and aircraft engineering test flights, with a staff of 25 specialists. Essentially, my dream job. Joined The Boeing Company in 1996, as manager for Integration and Engineering Support for the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). Responsible for providing product acquisition, integrated program management, and systems and logistics engineering support to a variety of product teams. Directed development, production, systems integration programs; 205 people representing 15 service functions such as finance, logistics, systems engineering. Led twelve integrated product teams to develop products such as airframe replacement parts, radar enhancements, and on-board computer and avionics upgrades, among others.
