Gary's Story

The nice thing about being a military brat is the traveling, you get to go places most people aren't able to. The flip side is that you usually aren't in the same place for very long usually about 18 months, you meet lots of peop-le and learn to make friends quickly, which is a plus, but, in my case, when we moved it was like finishing a book, you put it on a shelf and open the next new adventure. One day you find that that unlike all your current friends,you don't have any lifetime friends, you have no idea of where anyone you ever knew is or how they are doing.I coulda, woulda, should hav, but I didn't and now here I am searching for memories, h...Expand for more

I remember Jim Flores and some of the band, hanging out at the Pizzeria with them and Bonnie, I remember hanging out in the snack bar babysitting my baby brother and all the girls saying how cute he was, etc This was at K-town, where I moved from Mannheim, the most I remember from Mannheim is spending the summer at the pool in town, but, I did have some friends there, and we used to have a lot of fun, trying to drink that gallon jug of wine we won at the shooting gallery, you know the drill, back seat of the bus Sorry, will try to continue this later with more about the present but have to go for now
