Gary's Story
April 6, 2016, Hello My friends at PHS 63. It was a super time seeing so many at the 50th and again at our birthday party. Thanks to those that worked so hard to make this happen for us. I wanted to post an update as life changes for the better for me all the time. I have been fortunate enough to acquire a semiconductor company located in Florida after an 8 years search for the right opportunity. I am the President/CEO and Chairman of the board for Aurora Semiconductor. We have a 43,000 square foot manufacturing building with a High Technology MCM business that is the most advanced on the planet with a huge opportunity for growth. This has been my dream for 8 years and it is now a reality. I expect I will launch a retirement plan in another 10 or 15 years and then settle down. Until then full steam ahead. Life
September 2006 brief update, I left the corporate world of Electronics in Dec 2005 to start my own business in Real Estate Development and Investment forming the Corporation of Fine Homes & Estates, LLC. Over the past year plus we have purchased 5 homes remodeled 4 and have one home pending construction. Best to all of the class of 63.
Lynda and I met in the summer of our Senior year. Lynda went to South Portland High and I met her while we both worked during the summer at Woolworth's on Congress Street. We started to date, got married in 1965 and have been togther all over the world since, lived in Maine, C...Expand for more

Not much to remember from High School, pretty much a loner, except for a handful of close friends, biggest interest was Roller Skating at Elm Street on Friday and Saturday nights. Hated the night I crashed the front end of my 1956 Red Olds at A&W in South Portland
In High School I was an average student at best, focused on Metal shop with little social life. I moved on to management at the age of 22 at Fairchild Semiductor in South Portland and began my career path. Attended the U of M at night and finally finished my B.S. years later and then my MBA, now working on a M.S. degree. I have lived in Asia for 8 years, California for 12 years and Arizona for 3 years. I have managed companies with sales from $100,000,000 per year and have been an executive in companies with revenues up to $2,000,000,000 per year. I have lived in Asia for 8 years and been the President of semiconductor compaines in Asia. A big change for a guy who used to attend Math class with dirty hands from shop.
Lynda and I have one son, His name is Michael and he is now 33 years old, married with a little girl age 8 and lives in Folsom California working for Intel as a software engineering manager.
I have traveled extensively all over the world but mostly in Asia and completed about 15 trips in 2001. Our favorite spot for a vacation is Maui and we try to get there once a year. We also get to Maine about once a year in July to see our parents, my Mom just passed away in 2001 at the age of 89 and Lynda lost her Dad about two years ago so we only have Lynda's Mom left.
