Gary's Story
Hello All, after graduation from high school I went off to Colorado where I spent three years, married and then moved back to Texas. I then returned to Rockport in 1979 where I went to work for the Aransas County Sheriff's Dept. and later the Rockport Police Department. After working there 30 years I retired in December of 2008. My last position with the Police Department was Commander and Supervisor of the Criminal Investigation Division.
I attended several colleges while changing my major a couple of times but ultimately graduated from Texas A & M University, Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Then went on to complete my Master's degree in Public Administration.
Prior to my retirement I went to work for the University of Phoenix where I have been teaching Criminal Justice courses and Management courses online. I have now been teaching for 6 years and continue to do so.

staff at the First Baptist Church in Rockport where I am the Technical Media Director and in charge of the audio and video ministries of the church.
I sing with a gospel quartet called Rockport's Gospel Force. We have been singing together for the last 15 years and also coordinate the Rockport Gospel Music Festival.
I really enjoying working with sound systems and as such am currently not only working sound for my church but also for three other gospel singing groups that tour throughout the State of Texas.
I am married to my wife Patty which I met in Colorado and we have two sons. Mark (28) graduated from the Univ. of North Texas with a degree in Music Education and is a Band Director and Stephen (22) graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences and is in the sound recording business.
Within the next two years my wife and I plan to sell our Rockport home and begin our travels while calling our 5th wheel home.
