I still have my 1967 GTO that I got my senior year and i have gone to national shows and taken first place at gtoaa and poci. My car has also taken first place at the Houston Autorama. I retired in 2005 at 57 and in November 2010 we moved in to our house that we had built on our land. Hope everyone has had a good and enjoyable lives. My wife went to york and grad. in 1968. We have been married for 42 years 11-15-11 We finally got 1" of rain today. They say that we are still 20"s behind in our rain fall this year. 12-7-11 Jan wanted me to write a little more, so here goes. We have a son and daughter, 4 grand daughters, 1 grandson , 1 great grand daughter. In October of 2001, we took my GTO to cruzin the coast in Mississippi and came across another couple with a 67 tripple black conv. GTO. They were thinking about selling it and my wife wanted it. To make a long story short, that December they were ready to sell it and we went and picked it up. My wifes car like mine has taken first place at the Houston Autorama, GTOAA and POCI. Seven years later, I was in Somerville working on our land and she called me and said that she nolonger had a car. She told me that she sold it for over twice of what we paid.( I did not like it, but it was her car to do with what she wanted). I told her thats fine, but mine is not for sale!! When our son graduated from college, he was drafted by the ST. Louis Cardinals as a left handed picture. He played his rookie season and did pretty good. The next year, he went to spring training and hurt his throwing shoulder. The staff worked with him to no avail and they cut him f...Expand for more
rom the team. Now he works for Pepsi in Colorado. We sold our house in Deer Park, Texas to our daughter( who is on her third husband ) when we moved into our house in Somerville. 3-25-12. According to the weather people, in the first three months of this year we have gotten over 18 inches of rain. For all of last year we only got a little over 19 inches of rain.
12-17-15 I hope that everyone had a great year! Susan and I celebrated our 47th anniversary. Susan bought me a tractor to help with taking care of our land. We bought her a new jeep, and our boat that we ordered finally came in. Our son after 17 years of marriage got divorced, so all in all, it was a great year! Susan got her CHL and I would suggest that all of y'all get yours with the way our country is headed! I hope that all of y'all have a great New Year!
11/19/18. Susan and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary 10/26/18 and I had a bracelet made for her. It is white gold and rose gold with a heart diamond. It has 48 hearts on the side and two large hearts on top to make 50 years. The heart diamond stands for forever. The engraving reads October 26, 1968, Susan Gary 50th 2018. We now have three Great Granddaughters and if the doctor is right, we have a Great Grandson due in February 2019. Our son's youngest daughter place third this year in state in the high jump. I hope that everyone has had a great year! 1/28/22. On 1/27/22 my beautiful and loving wife Susan of 53 years, 3 months, and 1 day is no longer with us. 10/10/22, I just want 2022 to go away. I lost my Susan in January. My sister died in July. Now our daughter has leukemia. Our son has blood clots in his left leg. And about a month ago, my cousin's wife died. To me, I feel and look 20 years older. 10-23-22, this year just want quit! Now our 17-year-old grandson has scoliosis, with 57 % curvature of the spine.
