Gary's Story
Life
I am still working as a Deputy Sheriff for the Clallam County Sheriff's Office. I am working for the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife as an Enforcement Officer also. My main work is on the water on boats. I just completed my USCG 100 ton license.
My wife, Beth, (43 years) is working at Virignia Mason as a Medical Assistant. She has been there for about 15 years.
I am retired as a Superior Court Judge and still practice some law, but very little. It is a lot more fun to chase down the bad guys and stuff them into jail than deal with them after the arrest!!
I still enjoy skiing and also riding my motorcycle. I have a Kawasaki, 1500 Vulcan Classic. Beth does not ride, but my youngest son, Chuck, is my riding partner. We do put on substantial mileage annually.
I enjoy water skiing and the time on the lake. We have a cabin on Lake Sutherland and...Expand for more
a Mastercraft 19' ski boat.
Life is great.
My oldest son, Steve, has two children and I am the consumate grandpa. I really cherish time with the grandkids.
Both boys are USCG licensed captains. Both work on tugs. Steve on a 70 ft. and Chuck on a 240 ft. My USCG captain's license is for small boats, but as a patrol boat officer, it is all that I need.
Life is great.

Things have changed!!
I am now fully retired. I also turned in my license to practice Law. Now I just do whatever I want. Beth has also retired, and we have a great time together. We travel, ski, I ride my motorcycle (now a Honda Valkyrie Interstate) and she takes photos. She does not ride, but does not begrudge me my time on the scoot.
I will be riding across the US this summer.
