School
- Biggest crushes, Janet Terry, Judy Combs and Joyce Ojala, but there were so many other great guys and girls that helped us out bear the difficult times of leaving your country, house, family and friends
- Teacher, Elizabeth LeMaire, she inspired me to dig deeper into American History
Yes I would do it over again because ecah success and each failure brought me something I want to keep
-Funniest-craziest
1- We were at a basketball game, seated behind the cheerleaders and one of my (funny) friends from Cuba hooked my foot with his and slammed it into the cheerleader's behind. low profile as much as possible. Then, after a while, by interacting with the classmates we found them awesome. I have very fond memories of that year 1960-1961
College
My first college year was nothing to be proud of. I went to "Dade County Jr. College", as it was called then. I was not ready or mature for it. So I started to work. 2 years later in Athens College, Alabama. I was ready and got back into it. To make the story short, I stopped again until I was back in Miami and read the book "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz. I registered the next day and finished at FIU in 1979.
Workplace
Working in the corporate level is good to start, but gets old as you see all the power struggles going on at all levels. When they told me that I was going to be "early retired", I worried, but at the same time glad it was over. I joined my brother's real estate company, he ended selling it and we both joined Keller Williams in Kendall. I am enjoying working in Real Estate because I can make a living and help people at the same time. I gladly leave all the power struggles in corporate America for the younger ones.
