Gay's Story
I'm starting a new adventure in my life. my husband of 42 years has decided to divorce me and move on with his life with someone else. So what do you do? You move on. I haven't decided yet what where etc. I'm up for fun, adventure, travel, new experiences, hanging with friends. First priority going on a girls trip with some of the AHS girls and other girlfriends to Puerta Plata Dominican Republic in March, owner there, staying in a 6 bedroom villa. The Party is ON!!!!
Born in San Francisco, raised in Alameda CA. My schools include Alameda High School, University of California at Santa Barbara, Cal State Hayward. BS degree in Finance.
Met my first husband in college. He was also in the Navy at the time from Wichita Kansas. We had a daughter Dionne Hall and a son Jason Hall. We were divorced after 5 years of marriage.
I started my life as a single mom raising my daughter 2yrs old and my son 10 months old. We lived in Alameda. It was a pretty exciting life working full time, going to college, and taking care of the kids. For 10 years we enjoyed the 3 of us.
My cousin introduced me to my 2nd husband, Roy Kennedy from Fremont. We have been married now 38 years. We both like to travel. He worked for the department of defense. I worked as a finance manager for a start up compan...Expand for more
y. After that I changed careers and went to work for another start up company that was a payroll/hr vendor. ADP acquired the company. I stayed on and loved my job until the day I retired in 2012. Worked from home and traveled thru US for my job. We lived in the bay area until 10 years ago when we moved to Sparks outside of Reno.
We have traveled to China, Germany, Spain, the Caribbean, Jamaica, the Hawain Islands, Italy, England, France, Morroco, Greece, Turkey, Tip of Africa, Canada, Mexico, all of the US.. We split our time now between Sparks, NV, Motorhome, and Surprise AZ.
We have 3 grandchildren in Petaluma CA Emma (19), Patrick (17), Camille (13). Daughter is a teacher, Son works for ATT and is the President of the San Jose CWA's Union, Communication Workers of America. We have Thumper the Bulldog who travels with us.
I'm a cancer survivor, in remission. Was diagnosed 4 years ago. Survived surgery, chemo, and a pulmonary embolism while working. Even with part of my lung removed I recently hiked up waterfalls etc without the aide of oxygen.
We love to do many things. travel is our main thing now. Still snow ski but not allowed to water ski (2 back surgeries) or scuba dive (lung compression issue) now.
Travels still to come Australia, rest of Europe, Japan etc.
