Life My new name is Gay Jenson. I was married in 1984 and had one daughter in 1986, Danielle Arterburn. I was divorced and remarried in 1990, where my name changed to Gay Conner (which it remained for 13 years). I had two bouts with a very rare form of cancer (the latter one leaving me little chance for survival). During the second expeience (1999), I was also in the process of divorce and my (then) 13-year-old daughter, friends, family, doctors, and prayer got me into remission where I still remain, 7 years later. In 2003, I married Paul Jenson, who was formerly the Chief Executive Officer for Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. I was the Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach for OU Medical Center (the combined Presbyterian, University & Children's Hospitals). Since that time, I have retired from full-time work and have written and published a book about my second cancer experience, entitled "Mirror Journals: Reflections of a Father-Daughter Journey of Hope" (Tate Publishing). I continue to write, volunteer, now out in Arizona, and am also a motivational speaker. Paul is the President for IASIS Healthcare's Arizona/Nevada region (which has hospitals, surgery centers and physician practices), and we are now living in Fountain Hills, Arizona, which is just east of Scottsdale.
